Then suddenly a voice: &#8220;Hello, just wanted to see who you are and where you&#8217;re from.&#8221; We spend two exciting evenings with Matthias in Cape Town and even more great days and evenings on the Elisenheim farm near Windhoek.<\/p>\n<p>He built his VW MAN truck with a total weight of 8.5 tons himself and goes into raptures about it &#8211; we go into raptures too. The vehicle is parked at Elisenheim and Matthias travels around southern Africa for several months of the year. He is still working, he says &#8211; we can&#8217;t quite take his word for it. After all, the photos also show that he doesn&#8217;t actually want to go back to Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Later we met in the Drakensberg &#8211; in Clarens with fine coffee and delicious cakes.
